SERVICES
I have a doctorate in education (Ed. D.) from the University of Southern California (U.S.C.), as well as degrees in law, health science (health statistics and research), and sociology. Click here to view my Curriculum Vitae.
My goal is to guide and motivate you to become an activist for your children's educational needs and to provide you with ongoing support and partnership in seeing that those needs are met . I started my Educational Advocacy practice in 1999 to serve as a comprehensive educational resource for parents of school-aged children
in the greater Los Angeles area. After having fought for and successfully created programs for my highly gifted children, I turned my attention to children with other special needs.
Since 1994, I have grappled with my older son's diagnosis of borderline Asperger's Syndrome,
as well as both of my sons receiving early identifications as highly gifted. I have searched and fought for services and placements for them.
I helped create the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Schools for Advanced Studies (SAS) program, which impacts 50,000 gifted children. I now work as an educational advocate representing parents of special needs children to obtain services from their local school districts.
